Spanish newspaper “Marca” organizers of the internationals awards “sport achievement” with Mahou, Parquesol and CSD support, was delivering the prizes to the winners in his first edition.

The British Pen Hadow, was the main winner after reaching the North Pole solo in 64 days, hi traveled a distance of 769 Km. starting from the Canadian coast. Later on, he complete this adventure reaching the South Pole with his companion Simon Murria in 58 days and traveling a distance of 1.095 Km.

The vasc Josune Bereciartu, was recognized as one of the best rock climber female of the world and she won the accesit after climbing a route of 9 a, in Lindenthale.

Other accesits were to Guillermo Altadill, navigator; Ramon Larramendi after traversing Groedland and Miguel Caselles for his 7 X-tream marathons on 7 continents in a year period.

Araceli Segarra is the only female of the jury, along with Miguel Indurain, Kitin Muñoz, Jordi Arcarons, Martín Fiz, Miguel de la Cuadra Salcedo, Juan Oiarzabal, Marcos Fernández, Rafael Peces, César Pérez de Tudela and José María Echevarria.
